Mumbai Viral Video: Road Turns Into Fountain, Mumbaikars Joke Hrithik Roshan To Appear Soon
Social media users have been abuzz with amusement after a video of water gushing from Chandivali Farm Road in Powai, central Mumbai, went viral. The footage, which depicts what appears to be a fountain in the middle of a crucial road, has sparked a wave of humorous reactions.
Many social media users have compared the scene to a fountain, joking about its unexpected appearance in Mumbai's busy streets. One user commented, "Abhi Hrithik Roshan niklega paani se rollers skates wale joote pehenke," referring to a scene from the Bollywood film 'Dhoom 2', where the actor emerges from the water in roller skates.

Another user, who claimed to have lived near the area shown in the video, expressed little surprise at the situation. They likened the condition to what one might expect in any Indian city, suggesting that many who witnessed the scene likely did not bother to report it.
Despite the light-hearted comments, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has addressed the situation. The BMC clarified that the water was the result of flushing operations to clean the main water pipeline, not a malfunction or burst.

The IMD issued an orange alert in Mumbai today, as the city and its suburbs continue to experience heavy rainfall. This comes as Western Maharashtra, including Thane and Pune, has been grappling with severe flooding and waterlogging for weeks.
The IMD has forecasted further heavy rains and strong winds for Mumbai, advising residents to avoid unnecessary travel during the afternoon and evening hours when conditions are expected to worsen.
The department has also highlighted the swelling of rivers in Pune due to increased water release from dams, prompting a Red Alert for the area. Residents are urged to stay safe and remain vigilant amidst ongoing severe weather conditions.
