Mumbai Viral Video: Drunk Biker Rides On Footpath, Slaps Elderly Man – Dog Steps In | Watch What Happens Next
A shocking video of a biker, allegedly drunk, riding on a footpath in Mumbai and misbehaving with a man who questioned his actions has surfaced online. The footage, recorded by an X, formerly known as Twitter user named Paresh Patel from his building's window, shows the helmetless man riding his two-wheeler on the footpath and engaging in a heated altercation after being asked to ride on the main road.
The incident highlighted the biker openly violating traffic rules in broad daylight and arguing with those objecting to his reckless behaviour. The video captured the man pushing the elderly person to the ground and hurling abuses at him.
Biker Assaults An Elderly Man
Disturbingly, no one intervened to stop the 'drunk' man from attacking the elderly person. Though a few people gathered at the spot as the fight escalated, they were caught laughing on camera. The visuals indicated that none of them stepped forward to support the elderly man, who had rightfully questioned the biker for riding on a footpath meant for pedestrians and not for vehicles.
The video shows the biker parking his vehicle and stepping forward to confront the elderly man. He can be seen shouting abuses, pushing the man to the ground, and slapping him despite attempts by a few onlookers to pacify him.
In an apparent attempt to justify his actions, the biker claimed that the elderly man had ignored his honking while walking on the footpath. However, it was evident that the biker was in the wrong, as he was riding on a pedestrian path and violating traffic regulations.
Dog Steps In The Fight
As the altercation continued, a dog entered the scene and stood beside the elderly man, appearing to offer him protection. The animal was heard barking at the biker, seemingly responding to the distressing situation.
Paresh Patel, who filmed the incident, shared the video on X and tagged the official handle of Mumbai Traffic Police. In his post, he wrote:
"FYI. Riding on footpath, no helmet, drunken (as mentioned by people seen in video), rowdiness, beating an older person on asking to ride down, using filthy words; I asked not to use those due to kids, threatened to throw beer bottle at my home later!"
Mumbai Police Responds
Mumbai Police responded to Patel's post and initially requested details regarding the location of the incident. While Patel did not publicly share the location, he provided the details through a private message. He was then advised to lodge a complaint at the nearest police station for further action.
The viral video has sparked outrage among social media users, with many demanding strict action against the biker for his unruly behaviour and blatant disregard for traffic laws.
