Mumbai Traffic Police Advisory: Major Road Closures For Mount Mary Fair—Details Inside
The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the upcoming Mount Mary Fair in Bandra. The event, which draws large crowds each year, will take place from September 8 to September 16. To manage the increased traffic and ensure smooth movement in the area, special traffic regulations have been implemented.
The advisory highlights the following key changes to traffic flow during the fair:
Road Closures And Restrictions
Mount Mary Road: Closed to all vehicles except those belonging to local residents with authorised car passes and emergency vehicles. This restriction will be in place from 06:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs each day.

Kane Road: This road will operate as a one-way street, allowing traffic only from Mount Mary Road towards B.J. Road. Vehicles coming from B.J. Road will not be allowed entry.
Pereira Road: Traffic will only be allowed to move from east to west. Entry from B.J. Road will be restricted.
St. John Baptista Road: Closed to all vehicular traffic, except for residents with special passes, between 06:00 hrs and 23:00 hrs daily.
Chapel Road to Veronika Road: The right turn at Carmel Church will be closed to all vehicles.
No Parking Zones
To avoid congestion, parking will be prohibited on both sides of several key roads throughout the event. These restrictions will be in effect from 06:00 hrs on September 8 until 23:00 hrs on September 16. The affected roads include:
Mount Mary Road
Pereira Road
Kane Road
Hill Road (between St. Paul's Road and Mehboob Studio junction)
Mt. Carmel Road
Chapel Road
John Baptist Road
St. Sebastian Road
Rebello Road
Dr. Peter Dias Road
St. Paul Road
Motorists are advised to avoid these areas or plan alternative routes in advance to prevent delays. The Mumbai Traffic Police encourages all drivers to follow the traffic rules and be mindful of the temporary restrictions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during the Mount Mary Fair.
