The Mumbai Traffic Police has announced a detailed Mumbai traffic advisory for Lionel Messi's GOAT India Tour 2025 events at Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium on Sunday, December 14. Large crowds are expected near Churchgate and Marine Drive, so authorities have planned diversions, parking controls and road closures between 12.00 pm and 11.00 pm to reduce congestion.

The advisory, issued on December 12, aims to keep traffic moving and avoid gridlock around the venues. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic–South) Prashant Pardeshi issued the order under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Both northbound and southbound routes on important coastal and city roads may shut temporarily, depending on the situation on December 14.

Vehicles can divert from Pandit Paluskar Chowk, travel along Maharshi Karve Road, move through Charni Road and Marine Lines, pass Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk, then head to Ramnath Poddar Chowk and proceed towards their destinations.

Mumbai traffic advisory: Coastal Road restrictions and alternate routes

The Mumbai traffic advisory further covers the Coastal Road on both sides between Worli, Tardeo and Marine Drive. Southbound traffic from Worli and Tardeo towards Marine Drive will be stopped as required. Alternatives include using Haji Ali Junction, Peddar Road, Pandit Paluskar Chowk, Maharshi Karve Road, Charni Road, Marine Lines and Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk before reaching Ramnath Poddar Chowk.

Another option under the Mumbai traffic advisory for vehicles near Princess Street Bridge is to take a left towards Shamaldas Gandhi Marg, move up to Vardhaman Chowk and continue to the planned route. For northbound Coastal Road, motorists from Marine Drive to Worli and Tardeo must use Ramnath Poddar Chowk, Maharshi Karve Road, Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk, Marine Lines, Charni Road, Pandit Paluskar Chowk, Peddar Road and Haji Ali Junction.

Within the Churchgate and Marine Drive area, the Mumbai traffic advisory lists several internal lanes where parking will not be allowed.
