Mumbai Police On High Alert: Are Schools, Metro, And Flights Running As Usual?
Following the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, a high alert was issued across Mumbai on Tuesday and Wednesday. Authorities have increased security measures in the city, and all important areas are being closely monitored throughout the day.
Despite the heightened alert, city life is expected to go on without any major disruption. Public transport services, schools, colleges, offices, and hospitals will continue to operate as per their regular schedules, according to a Times Now report. Both government and private institutions are functioning normally.

The alert has been issued as a precautionary step after at least 28 people lost their lives in a brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday evening. Most of the victims were tourists, and the bodies of the deceased have now been handed over to their families.
Among the victims was Dilip Desale, a 64-year-old resident of New Panvel in Navi Mumbai. According to the police, his body reached his home in Sector 12 of New Panvel on Wednesday evening. Desale had travelled to Jammu and Kashmir along with his wife as part of a group tour organised by a local travel company.
Tragically, he was caught in the gunfire when terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam. At least 26 of the victims were tourists. Two of Desale's relatives travelled to Jammu and Kashmir to bring his body back to Mumbai. After completing the required formalities, the remains of Desale and another victim were flown to the city.
Desale's last rites are scheduled to take place later in the evening in Panvel, the police official added.
Authorities have urged the public to stay alert but not panic. They have also advised citizens to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station. Mumbai Police and other security agencies remain on full alert to ensure the safety and security of residents.
More updates will follow as the situation develops.
