Mumbai Police Hunts For Person Behind Threatening Social Media Post About Anant Ambani's Wedding

The Mumbai Police are actively investigating a troubling social media message regarding Anant Ambani's recent wedding. The message, originally posted on X, formerly Twitter, implied a potential bomb threat at the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex, where the grand event took place.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant recently celebrated their union in a lavish ceremony at the Jio World Convention Centre, located in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex. The event, spanning from Friday to Sunday, attracted numerous dignitaries from around the globe.

The alarm was raised after an anonymous user, identified only by her/his former Twitter handle, @FFSFIR, posted a message, "A shameless thought crept into my mind that if a bomb went off at Ambani's wedding, half the world would turn upside down. Trillions of dollars in one pin code." However, the account has since been deactivated.

Mumbai Police In Action

The Mumbai Police have not yet filed a formal complaint, they are actively investigating the matter to uncover the motives behind the alarming social media activity.

Despite assessing the threat as likely unfounded, authorities opted to deploy heightened security measures throughout the wedding festivities. Over the weekend, police presence was notably increased in and around the Bandra-Kurla Complex to preempt any potential disruptions. "Although treated as a hoax, we took no chances and implemented additional precautions," stated a police spokesperson.

Two Uninvited Guests

In a separate incident, two individuals were apprehended for trespassing at the wedding venue without invitation. Identified as Venkatesh Narasaiya Alluri, a YouTuber, and Lukman Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, who claimed to be a businessman, both were detained by security personnel upon suspicious entry. Mumbai Police have since initiated legal action against them.

Both individuals, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, were released after due legal process, marking a stern response by authorities to ensure the security and sanctity of the high-profile event.

The investigation into the threatening social media post remains ongoing as the police continue to scrutinize online activity for potential security risks.
