The Mumbai Metro 6, known as the Pink Line, is set to transform commuting in the city by 2026. Station structures are projected to reach a completion rate of 75% by June 2025. Civil works are expected to conclude by mid-2025. The metro will operate using six-coach trains with a total of 108 metro cars. CBTC signaling technology will ensure optimal efficiency during operations.

Operational Details and Connectivity

The metro service will run from 6 AM to 10 PM daily. During peak hours, trains will arrive every 5–7 minutes and every 8–10 minutes during off-peak times. The Pink Line will offer crucial interchanges with other metro lines: Line 2A (Yellow) at Adarsh Nagar, Line 7 (Red) at JVLR Junction, Line 3 (Aqua) at SEEPZ Village, and Line 4 (Green) at Kanjurmarg West.

Additionally, it will connect with the Western Railway Line at Jogeshwari and the Central Railway Line at Kanjurmarg. This integration facilitates seamless transfers across various transport modes. Ticketing will be managed through smart cards and QR code tokens. Fares are expected to range from Rs 10 for short distances to Rs 50 for longer journeys.
