Mumbai Local Train Services News: Will Your Train Be Delayed This Sunday? Find Out Here

Mumbaikars should take note of significant changes in train services this Sunday. Central Railway will implement a mega block affecting both the Slow and Harbor lines.

Details of the Megablock:

1. Central Railway

a. A mega block will occur between Thane and Kalyan on the Up and Down Slow Line from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
b. Additionally, there will be a block between Kurla and Vashi on the Up and Down Harbor line from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
c. During this period, trains on both routes will run approximately 10 minutes behind schedule.

After the block, the first down train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on the slow line will leave at 3:05 pm, and the first train from Thane on the Up slow line will depart at 4:17 pm.

Special suburban trains will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Mumbai-Kurla, as well as Panvel-Vashi, during the block. Passengers travelling on the Harbor route can use the Thane to Vashi/Nerul services from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during this time.

2. Western Railway

a. A major block will occur from midnight on Saturday until 10:00 am on Sunday on the Up and Down Slow lines, and the Down Fast line, to facilitate the construction of a sixth line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations.
b. During this block, all trains from Borivali to Goregaon on the Up Slow route will be diverted to the fast route. Trains on the Down Slow route will operate on Line 5 and will not stop at Ram Mandir, Malad, and Kandivali stations due to platform unavailability.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
