The motorperson promptly stopped the train at Ghatkopar station to address the situation. A ticket checker (TC) from an adjoining compartment intervened and pushed the man out of the women's coach, preventing further distress. Railway authorities confirmed that the man is mentally ill, but the incident has sparked outrage among citizens and reignited debates about women's safety on public transport.

This incident has highlighted the urgent need for improved security measures on Mumbai local trains, particularly for women's compartments. While the timely action of the TC averted further issues, many commuters have raised questions about the adequacy of existing safety protocols.

Citizens have expressed their anger and disappointment on social media, demanding stricter monitoring and better safety mechanisms. The video has drawn widespread criticism of the railway administration, with many calling for measures such as increased patrolling, enhanced surveillance through CCTV cameras, and stricter access controls.

The railway authorities are yet to announce any specific steps to address the concerns raised by this incident, leaving many passengers anxious about their safety during daily commutes.
