Mumbai Local Train Services Mega Block: Trains To Run Late, Some Cancelled On April 6 – Full Schedule Inside
The Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will carry out a Mega Block on its suburban sections on Sunday, April 6. This is to carry out important engineering and maintenance work to improve infrastructure and ensure safety.
I. Main Line (Matunga-Mulund)
A Mega Block will be in place on the UP and DOWN slow lines between Matunga and Mulund stations from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm.
a. DOWN slow line trains leaving CSMT Mumbai between 10:14 am and 3:52 pm will run on the DOWN fast line from Matunga to Mulund, stopping only at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund. These trains will then shift back to the slow line at Mulund and will reach their destinations about 15 minutes late.
b. UP slow line trains from Thane between 11:07 am and 3:51 pm will run on the UP fast line from Mulund to Matunga, stopping at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion, and then return to the slow line at Matunga. These trains will also arrive around 15 minutes late.
c. All local trains arriving at or leaving from CSMT between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm will reach their destinations about 15 minutes behind schedule.
II. Trans-Harbour Line (Thane-Vashi/Nerul)
A Mega Block will also be in place on the UP and DOWN Trans-Harbour lines between Thane and Vashi/Nerul from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
a. During this time, train services between Vashi/Nerul and Thane will remain suspended.
b. DN line trains from Thane to Vashi/Nerul/Panvel between 10:35 am and 4:07 pm, and UP line trains from Panvel/Nerul/Vashi to Thane between 10:25 am and 4:09 pm, will be cancelled.
The Railway Administration has stated that these blocks are necessary for regular maintenance to keep the railway system safe and in good condition. Passengers are kindly requested to plan their journey accordingly and bear with the inconvenience.
