Mumbai Local Train Services Block: Friday And Sunday Afternoon Service Halts Between Badlapur And Khopoli

In an effort to carry out essential engineering work, the Central Railway has announced special traffic and power blocks at Karjat Station on Friday, January 17 and Sunday, January 19. These blocks will take place during the afternoon and late-night hours, impacting suburban local train services in the region.

On Friday, January 17, a traffic and power block will be implemented from 1:50 PM to 3:35 PM. During this time, suburban local services between Badlapur and Khopoli will remain closed. The block will be enforced on both the Up and Middle Lines between Palasdhari (excluding the crossover) and Karjat (including the crossover). Furthermore, it will also affect the Up and Down Lines between Karjat (including the crossover towards Panvel of Karjat Platform 3) and Chowk, Bhivpuri station (excluding crossover).

This temporary disruption is being carried out as part of ongoing engineering work, which requires essential repairs and maintenance to improve the overall functionality of the station and tracks. The train services between Badlapur and Khopoli will not be operating during the block period, and passengers are advised to take alternative routes or adjust their travel times accordingly.

The second block will be imposed on Sunday, January 19, between 11:20 PM and 1:05 AM. This late-night block will similarly impact services on the Up and Middle Lines between Palasdhari (excluding the crossover) and Karjat (including the crossover). Additionally, the block will affect the Up and Down Lines from Karjat (including the crossover) to Chowk, Bhivpuri stations (excluding crossover).

Commuters travelling during these periods should plan ahead, as services will be disrupted and alternative arrangements will be required. The Central Railway has advised passengers to stay updated with station announcements and seek further information for potential schedule adjustments or rerouted services. The railway authorities are working to ensure that the maintenance work is completed efficiently and that normal services resume at the earliest to minimise inconvenience to passengers.
