Mumbai Local Train Services Alert: CR Announces Train Diversions And Delays For December 23; Details Inside

The Central Railway (CR) has announced significant train cancellations and service alterations in Mumbai due to critical work related to the launching of girders for the Patripul Road Over Bridge (ROB), according to a Times Now report. The integrated block will be undertaken on the CSMT-Kalyan and Kalyan-Karjat sections during the early hours of December 23.

In an official statement, the CR stated that the block will be in effect from 1:00 am to 4:30 am on Monday night to facilitate the completion of this infrastructure project. The special traffic and power block will involve UP and Down slow and fast lines, as well as the 5th and 6th lines, affecting train schedules significantly.

Date and Time: 23 December 2024 (Monday night), from 1:00 am to 4:30 am
Purpose: Launching girders for the 3rd Patripul Road Over Bridge between Thakurli and Kalyan stations.

Dombivli-Kalyan UP and Down slow lines (excluding crossovers)

Impact On Local Train Services

I. Mail/Express Train Regulations

Train no. 18030 Shalimar - LTT Express will be regulated at Titwala station, causing a delay of 15 minutes.
Train no. 12810 Howrah - CSMT Express will be held at Khadavli station, with a similar delay.
Train no. 12132 Sainagar Shirdi - Dadar Express will also face delays.

II. Mail/Express Train Diversions

Train no. 11020 Bhubaneswar - CSMT Konark Express will be diverted via Karjat-Panvel. It will make additional halts at Panvel and Thane stations.
All other 6th-line Mail/Express trains, except Train no. 11020, will operate on the UP fast line between Kalyan and Diva stations.

Suburban Train Services

Suburban train services between Kalyan and Thane will remain suspended during the block period.
