Mumbai Bomb Threat Traced To +92 Pakistani Number, Sender's Location Being Tracked
The Mumbai police, alongside Crime Branch officials are investigating a bomb threat received on Thursday night through the traffic police control room's WhatsApp number. The unidentified message, originating from a Pakistani number, claimed bombs were placed at six locations across the city.
The sender, despite providing no further details, prompted heightened security measures, urging personnel at crucial installations to intensify surveillance and remain vigilant for any suspicious activities or individuals.

The mobile number bearing the country code '+92,' indicative of Pakistan, adds a layer of complexity to the investigation. The message, received at approximately 10.30 pm on the traffic police control room's WhatsApp number (8454999999), triggered an immediate response.
In adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP), the control room swiftly disseminated the information to relevant agencies, including the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch is diligently working to trace the sender's location, deploying investigative efforts to ascertain the credibility of the threat.
As of now, no formal offense has been registered, according to a statement from a police officer.
