Mumbai: 7 Killed After Massive Fire Engulfs Shop-Cum-Residential Building

At least seven people lost their lives after a fire broke out in a shop at Siddarth Colony in Chembur East early Sunday morning around 5:20 am.

According to information from the civic body, the fire started in a ground-plus-one structure, where the ground floor was a shop and the upper floor served as a residential space.

The victims have been identified as Paras Gupta, 7, Narendra Gupta, 8, Manju Gupta, 30, Prem Gupta, 30, Anita Gupta, 39, Vidhi Gupta, 15, and Gitadevi Gupta, 60.

After the fire, they were taken to Rajawadi Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
