Man Detained In Mumbai Not Linked To Saif Ali Khan Attack Case, Cops Clarify
Hours after reports suggested that a man detained in Mumbai on Friday was connected to the attack on Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence, the Mumbai Police clarified that there was no such link.
Footage showed the man being escorted to the Bandra police station on Friday morning. Little was known about him initially, but sources had speculated that he was connected to the stabbing incident.

However, it was not confirmed that he was the same person who had broken into the actor's home and attacked him the previous day, reported NDTV.
Later in the afternoon, a senior Mumbai Police official stated that the individual taken in for questioning had no connection to the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The officer added that no one had been detained or arrested in relation to the case.
The man who attacked Saif Ali Khan early on Thursday morning was reportedly seen near the Bandra railway station. Police believe he changed his clothes, went to the station, and boarded a train. Police teams are currently stationed in Vasai and Nalasopara in Palghar district.
Having initially formed 15 teams to track down the attacker, the Mumbai Police had increased this number to 20 by Thursday evening. They have been collecting technical data and using their informer network, but have yet to make any significant progress, even 36 hours after the incident.
The police revealed that the intruder entered 'Satguru Sharan', the 12-storey building in the upscale Bandra area where the actor resides, intending to commit a robbery.
Officers suspect the intruder may have been familiar with one of the domestic workers at the Khans' home, which may have allowed him to access the building without being detected by the CCTV cameras in the lobby. They believe he knew the building's layout and used the fire shaft to reach the top floors after scaling a wall from an adjacent compound, according to sources.
The break-in lasted for 30 minutes on the 11th floor, during which both the house staff and Khan attempted to fight off the intruder.
The actor's younger son Jeh's nanny was injured while trying to stop the man, and Khan sustained six injuries during the struggle.
Bleeding, he was rushed to a nearby hospital and underwent emergency surgery. He is now reported to be out of danger.
The intruder managed to escape and was captured on CCTV on the sixth floor as he descended the stairs.
The attack has raised concerns about the effectiveness of security in the upscale Bandra area and has led to criticism of the law-and-order situation in the city.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case of robbery, trespassing, and causing grievous bodily harm.
