Make in India: Had I gone back, I would have been caught in fire, says Bachchan
Mumbai, Feb 15: After a massive fire broke out on Sunday, Feb 14 at the Make In India event here, a probe has been launched to the incident. There were over 2,000 people present at the event when the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who was also present at the event said: "Had I gone back, I would have been caught in the fire."

"What happened at event? I just finished my performance got off stage and sat in my car and left .. just then fire on stage broke. Production was wanting me to stay and go back on to meet the CM .. had I gone back would have been caught in fire.. providential," Bachchan wrote on his Twitter account.

On the other hand, fire department officials sprung into action immediately after the fire broke out on stage. The fire broke out when Marathi actress Pooja Sawant was performing on stage with a group of dancers.
