Maharashtra Weather Alert: IMD Predicts Downpour And Cool Temperatures; Mumbai Under Yellow Alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issues a yellow alert in Mumbai, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places. Expect a cloudy sky throughout the day. Mumbai will experience a cool minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius.

For the next five days, the weather in Mumbai is expected to be predominantly rainy.

On July 19, temperatures will be slightly cool, with a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 29 degrees Celsius, accompanied by heavy rain. July 20 will see temperatures ranging from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius with moderate rain. Similar conditions will persist on July 21, with temperatures remaining steady and moderate rain expected.

On July 22, the temperature will stay between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius, with rain anticipated throughout the day. Finally, July 23 will see temperatures ranging from 24 to 28 degrees Celsius with continued rainfall.

Ratnagiri: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.

Orange Alerts

1. Palghar Weather Forecast: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

2. Thane Weather Forecast: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

3. Raigad Weather Forecast: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

4. Sindhudurg Weather Forecast: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.

5. Pune Weather Forecast: Residents in the ghat areas should be particularly cautious of heavy rain, while those in the plains can expect lighter but still significant rainfall.

6. Kolhapur Weather Forecast: Similar to Pune, the ghat areas will experience heavy rain, with lighter rain in the plains.

7. Satara Weather Forecast: Heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas and light to moderate rain in plains.

Maharashtra Monsoon Update

The IMD predicts that there is a possibility of more than average rainfall in most parts of Maharashtra. The 'El Nino' ​​condition may remain neutral in the initial phase. But in the second phase of monsoon i.e. in July or August, 'La Nina' condition is likely to occur. The Meteorological Department has clarified that the La Nina conditions are favourable for this year's monsoon in the country.
