Following the tragic news, NCP chief Ajit Pawar cancelled his Amravati tour, which was part of his campaign for the upcoming assembly elections. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Lilavati Hospital to assess the situation firsthand. The hospital confirmed Siddique's death due to injuries sustained in the attack.

Investigation Underway

Mumbai Police have formed five teams to investigate Siddique's shooting. They are also exploring potential links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The incident occurred outside MLA Zeeshan Siddique's office near Colgate ground in Nirmal Nagar, Bandra East, where unidentified attackers shot Baba Siddique.

Witnesses reported that two to three shots were fired during the attack. Just 15 days prior, Siddique had received a death threat and was subsequently placed under 'Y' category security for protection.

The police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the third suspect involved in this case. Authorities are determined to bring all responsible parties to justice swiftly.
