Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 5: List Of Stars Who Cast Their Votes in Mumbai
Voting for the fifth phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections is taking place today across Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. Polling across these seats commenced at 7 AM and will conclude at 6 PM.
In this phase of the general elections, voters in a total of 49 constituencies will exercise their right to franchise to decide the fates of 695 candidates in the fray.

In Maharashtra, 13 seats are going to the polls. Voting across Maharashtra will be over with this phase. Some of the prominent key contenders from the state are, Piyush Goyal, a BJP contestant from Mumbai North; Ravindra Dattaram Waikar, a Shiv Sena contender from Mumbai North-West; Shiv Sena also fielded Arvind Sawant from Mumbai South; Mumbai North-Central contenders are Ujjwal Nikam and Varsha Gaikwad and from Kalyan, again a Shiv Sena Dr Shrikant Shinde.
A Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar is among the early voters who reached the respective polling booths to cast his vote on Monday morning. Akshay Kumar can be seen standing in a queue greeting other voters while waiting to cast his vote.
Another Bollywood actor and singer, Farhan Akhtar, also cast his vote in Mumbai, accompanied by his sister and director, Zoya Akhtar. The children of Indian screenwriter and lyricist, Javed Akhtar, proudly displayed their inked fingers after voting at a polling station.
In addition to these siblings, Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao also displayed his inked finger after casting his vote at a polling station in Mumbai.
Turning to Bollywood female actors, Janhvi Kapoor cast her vote at a polling station in Mumbai. "Please come out and vote," she urged.
Another Bollywood actress, Sanya Malhotra, showed the indelible ink mark on her finger after voting at a polling booth in Mumbai.
The list continues with veteran actress Shobha Khote, who expressed her satisfaction after casting her vote, stating, "I have voted for the right candidate. I did not opt for home voting and voted here so that people get inspired and come out and vote."
Among the veteran actors, Paresh Rawal, a former member of the Lok Sabha from the Bharatiya Janata Party, proudly displayed the indelible ink mark on his finger after voting at a polling booth in Mumbai. Speaking to the media after casting his vote, he expressed concern, saying, "People complain that the government doesn't do this and that, but now they are not coming out to vote. Hence, in retrospect, they are responsible for this." When asked about resolving this issue, he suggested, "There should be some provisions for those who don't vote, like an increase in tax or some other punishment."
In the younger generation, Shahid Kapoor exercised his franchise in Mumbai and shared a picture showing his inked finger after voting.
Moving on to the younger couples, Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and her husband, Junaid Khan, also displayed their inked fingers after casting their votes at a polling booth in Mumbai.
Indian actor and film producer Suniel Shetty also arrived at a booth in Mumbai to cast his vote for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha election 2024.
Indian actor, comedian, and Shiv Sena leader Govinda arrived at a polling booth in Mumbai to cast his vote. Urging citizens, he said, "Please come out of your house and vote."
Actor Anita Raj proudly displayed the indelible ink mark on her finger after voting at a polling booth in Mumbai. She appealed to citizens, saying, "We are all responsible citizens of this country...I have come to know that the voter turnout is low. Don't be lazy. Step out and vote, it is very important."
Actor Rahul Bose cast his vote at a polling booth in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Sporting a grey T-shirt, he smiled brightly while showing his finger in front of the camera, sending a message of pride in casting the vote.
Among the wealthiest figures in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha election, Indian actress and Member of Parliament Hema Malini arrived with her daughter, actress Esha Deol, to cast their votes at a polling booth in Mumbai. Both of them showed their indelible ink marks to the media. Hema Malini, also a BJP candidate from the Mathura seat, expressed confidence, stating, "A large number of people are coming to vote. Yes, (400 paar) will be successful."
After casting her vote, Actress Esha Deol appealed to people, saying, "I appeal to people to come out and vote. It is our right. Every vote counts. He (PM Modi) is doing a lot of things for the country. Not only in India but also at the international level, he is taking our country forward."
Hema Malini's husband and legendary actor Dharmendra also cast his vote at a polling booth in Mumbai.
Singer Kailash Kher remarked, "...I want to say that India is changing and you (people) are responsible for this. I want you to keep working in the national interest," after casting his vote.
Actor Randeep Hooda emphasised, "In a democracy, through voting, you have the right to decide your future and that of your country. You must vote...Participate in this festival of democracy and vote..."
Raghu Ram and his twin brother Rajiv Lakshman showed the indelible ink mark on their fingers after casting their vote at a polling booth in Mumbai and shared their views with the news agency ANI. Lakshman said, "People say voting is our right. I say voting is our responsibility and privilege...Vote is our voice...If we don't vote, how can we be patriots?" and Raghu Ram added, "I think voting is our superpower. India is the world's largest democracy. The biggest elections are held in this country. So, in a way, our voters are the most powerful people in the world. It is good to use this superpower..." The brothers were judges on the MTV show Roadies for 10 seasons.
Musician Vishal Dadlani also cast his vote and spoke to the media. "Mumbai is the financial capital of the country. It is the responsibility of Mumbaikars to come out and show the path to the rest of the country. This is our chance to vote for the people who have worked for you. I request everyone to come out and cast their votes," he said.
Showing faith in the citizens of Mumbai, actor Vivek Oberoi said, "...I don't think Mumbaikars will not come out to cast their votes because of the heatwave conditions. People will surely come out and exercise their right to vote. I am requesting everyone to come out..."
Legendary Indian actor and director, Anupam Kher, sent a message while holding his inked finger upright, "Today is the festival of democracy and we should come out and vote to elect our government for the next 5 years," he said after casting his vote in Mumbai.
Veteran actor Anil Kapoor, while exiting the building, shared his thoughts on the election process. "I have cast my vote. All citizens of India should vote."
After casting his vote, actor Manoj Bajpayee stated, "This is the biggest festival and everyone should vote as you will get this opportunity after 5 years. If you haven't voted then you have no right to complain..."
Daughter of legendary lyricist, novelist, and director Gulzar and actress Rakhee Director, Meghna Gulzar said, "Issues of the people keep changing with time and it is the responsibility of the government to solve them. Voting is a responsibility and it is important that we exercise our right to vote..."
Film producer and veteran actor Salim Khan, accompanied by his wife Salma Khan, cast their votes in Mumbai. Their son, actor-director Arbaz Khan, also participated in the voting process. Director Boney Kapoor, along with his actor daughter Khushi Kapoor, exercised their franchise. Similarly, filmmaker and director Sajid Khan cast his vote, while director David Dhawan and his actor son Varun Dhawan proudly showed their inked fingers.
Actor Hrithik Roshan, his sister Sunaina Roshan, and their parents Rakesh Roshan and Pinkie Roshan cast their votes at a polling booth in Mumbai. Hrithik Roshan said, "Study the candidates before you vote, know what you are voting for."
On similar lines, Shilpa Shetty also came with her family to vote. Her actor sister Shamita Shetty and mother showed their inked fingers while standing next to her.
Actor-model Malaika Arora said, "I would appeal that it's your right to vote, so go out and exercise your right to vote."
Actor Nidhi Shah said, "Voting is the most important thing. Being an Indian citizen, one must vote because you are here to make a change... I think traffic, road construction, and inflation are the issues that should be taken care of..."

Another Bollywood couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, also exercised their right to vote.
Parents-to-be, actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, also participated in the nationwide electoral process.
Actor Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan, Tanuja, Sanjay Khan, Zayed Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Jackky Bhagnani, and his wife actor Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, and Bhumi Pednekar, Zareen Khan, Kiara Advani showed their inked fingers after casting their vote at a polling station in Mumbai for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha election 2024.
Actor Ishaan Khatter and veteran actor Rekha also cast their votes in Mumbai.
Being the city of dreams where stars reside, the day is witnessing big stars showcasing their inked fingers and encouraging their fans to do the same.
After this, voting will continue in the sixth phase on 25 May. In this phase, polling will be held across 57 constituencies in seven states. The final phase is scheduled for 1 June. The electoral process will conclude with the counting of votes and the announcement of the Lok Sabha election 2024 results on 4 June.
