Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation Schedules Water Cut For Maintenance On August 13, 2025

The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has announced a planned water cut in Dombivli on August 13, 2025. This is due to urgent maintenance work. The water supply from the Mohili source will be halted between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm. During this period, essential repairs will be conducted. Consequently, the Netivali Water Purification Centre's supply to Dombivli East and West will also be stopped.

Residents are advised to cooperate with KDMC by conserving water and storing enough in advance to meet their needs during the outage. This proactive measure aims to minimise inconvenience for citizens while ensuring necessary maintenance is completed efficiently.

Janata Darbar Cancellation

Typically, KDMC holds a Janata Darbar on the second Tuesday of each month at the Commissioner's office. This event addresses public issues and complaints. However, due to unavoidable administrative reasons, the session scheduled for August 12, 2025, has been cancelled. Citizens should take note of this change and plan accordingly.

Closure of Meat Shops on Independence Day

In another directive, KDMC has ordered all meat shops and slaughterhouses in the area to close on Independence Day, August 15. This includes outlets selling chicken, mutton, and fish. The closure aligns with provisions under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act.

The Licensing Department stated that this closure will be enforced from midnight on August 14 until midnight on August 15. Both legal and illegal shopkeepers have been urged to comply with this order by keeping their establishments closed for the day.
