Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation Schedules 12-Hour Water Supply Interruption On November 11, 2025

The Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has announced a 12-hour water supply interruption in several areas, including Kalyan, Titwala, and Shahad. This disruption is scheduled for November 11, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The purpose of this shutdown is to facilitate necessary repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment at the Mohili Water Purification Center and to address issues in the water distribution system.

Residents in parts of Kalyan East and West divisions, as well as Manda-Titwala, Vadavali, Ambivali, Shahad, Atali, and other villages in the Kalyan Rural Division will experience this water cut. The municipal corporation has urged citizens to store water in advance and use it judiciously during this period.

Water Supply Disruptions in Thane

Earlier this month, Thane city experienced a 24-hour water cut on November 1 and 2. This was implemented to carry out essential infrastructure work aimed at enhancing the city's water distribution network. Such measures are part of ongoing efforts to improve water management in the region.

In a related development last month, residents across Thane faced a 10% reduction in water supply. This was due to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) upgrading electricity meters at the Pise and Panjrapur power stations. The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) confirmed that this reduction was effective from October 7 to October 9, 2025.

The KDMC's notification stated: "In order to carry out repair work on electrical and mechanical equipment at the Mohili Water Purification Center of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation and repair work on water pipes in the water distribution system from the Mohili Water Purification Center in the Manda Titwala area of ​​​​'A' ward area."
