Inorbit Mall In Navi Mumbai Cleared After Bomb Threat Email; Police Investigate Source
On Saturday, the Inorbit Mall at Vashi in Navi Mumbai was evacuated by police after the mall's management received a bomb threat via email. The authorities were immediately informed, and a swift response was initiated to ensure the safety of all individuals within the premises.
Police Response
DCP (Zone-1) Pankaj Dahane confirmed to the Times of India that similar bomb threat emails were sent to all Inorbit Malls across different states. "The bomb threat email has been received at all the Inorbit Malls in different states. As the threat email was received at Vashi Inorbit Mall as well, which was informed by the mall's management to Vashi police, we immediately rushed a huge police force to the mall," DCP Dahane stated.

Upon receiving the alert, a large contingent of police officers, along with the mall's security personnel, promptly evacuated the mall. The authorities are currently investigating the origin of the threatening email to determine its source. "We are further probing the source of the threat email," added DCP Dahane.
Similar Threats
In addition to the Vashi incident, the DLF Mall in Noida and Ambience Mall in Gurugram also received bomb threat emails on the same day, leading to immediate action by local authorities. Police and bomb squads were deployed to both locations to conduct thorough searches and ensure public safety.
Reports indicate that the management of Ambience Mall in Gurugram received an email claiming that bombs had been planted in the building, with the intent to "kill everyone in the building." The email further mentioned two individuals allegedly responsible for the attack, heightening the urgency of the response.
Public Safety Measures
As investigations continue, both malls remain under strict surveillance, and security measures have been intensified to prevent any potential danger. The situation is still unfolding, and further updates are expected as authorities work to resolve the threats.
In one incident, a media report mentioned that the screening of a movie in one of the malls was halted midway, and patrons were asked to evacuate immediately. The police, along with mall security and the bomb squad, swiftly directed everyone to safer locations.
DCP Noida Ram Badan Singh, speaking to the media, explained, "A security mock drill was conducted in DLF Mall. These kinds of drills are conducted to conduct checks in large areas to make sure that no one is in danger. Fire services, dog squad, and police teams participated in the drill..."
