Indian Cricket Team's Celebration In Mumbai: Why BEST Buses Should Host The T20 World Cup Winners
The Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team landed at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday morning after being stranded for days in Barbados due to a hurricane Beryl-induced delay. In the T20 World Cup final, India defeated first-time finalist South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling match in Barbados last week.
Upon landing in the capital on Thursday morning, the Men in Blue assembled at a hotel before heading to a breakfast meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After meeting with PM Modi, the team departed for Mumbai from New Delhi.

The Mumbai Traffic Police advised commuters to avoid the route during the open bus roadshow as traffic arrangements will be in place from 3 pm to 9 pm on Thursday. "A grand victory parade is organised on July 4, 2024, for the Indian cricket team, winner of the T20 World Cup, at Marine Drive. To avoid inconvenience to the commuters, following traffic arrangements will be in place from 3 pm to 9 pm today," the Mumbai Traffic Police wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The victory procession will be held between 05:00 PM and 07:00 PM, from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium, an official said. A felicitation event to honour the players and squad members has been scheduled between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm, after which the players will leave for their hotel.
Rohit Pawar Appeals
Speaking to news agency ANI today, Nationalist Congress Party Rohit Pawar said, "Our players played well. We won the World Cup. But, if the World Cup is coming to Maharashtra for the victory parade, then 'BEST' (BEST Bus Transport) Bus should be used. As we are emotionally connected with the 'BEST' (BEST Bus Transport) bus, it should be used."
