In the interview transcript provided by ANI, Dolly Chaiwala mentioned that he had no awareness of Bill Gates' identity at the time of serving him tea. He stated that he simply perceived Bill Gates as a foreign visitor and decided to offer him tea as a gesture of hospitality. It was only upon returning to Nagpur the following day that Dolly Chaiwala became aware of the true identity of his customer.
Dolly Chaiwala recounted the moment when Bill Gates tasted his tea, expressing that Gates remarked, "Wow, Dolly ki Chai" (Wow, Dolly's Tea). He further explained that there was minimal interaction between them during the encounter, as Bill Gates stood beside him while he attended to his tasks. Dolly Chaiwala also shared that he learned different serving styles from watching South Indian movies, which he incorporated into his work.
Expressing his aspirations for the future, Dolly Chaiwala conveyed his desire to serve tea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi someday. He expressed gratitude for the recognition he received after the video of Bill Gates enjoying his tea went viral.
