BJP legislature party leader Devendra Fadnavis has sworn-in as the new chief minister of Maharashtra on Thursday evening at a grand ceremony here which would be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

NCP head Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde have also taken oath as deputy chief ministers, as per the reports.

PM Modi and Union HM Amit Shah have been our pillars of support, which enabled us to achieve so much in the last 2.5 years. We’ve made historic decisions that will be remembered. When we began, we had 40 members, and today we have 60. While I once saw myself as an ordinary person, now, as Deputy CM, I remain dedicated to serving the people. Here’s a new fact: 90% of the FDI we received last year has already been secured within the first six months of this year.
