CSMT–Danapur Special Trains: Full Schedule, Route, And Coach Details For Diwali And Chhath Puja

To manage the festive travel rush during Diwali and Chhath Puja, Central Railway has announced a series of special trains connecting Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) with Danapur in Bihar. These services aim to provide additional travel capacity for passengers returning home for the celebrations.

Train Details and Schedule

The dedicated service, Train No. 01047 CSMT-Danapur Special, is scheduled to run on October 18, 22, 26, and 30, 2025. The train will operate from CSMT to Danapur, helping ease the high demand on this popular festive route.

Route and Major Halts

The train will halt at the following stations along its journey: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Buxar, Ara, before terminating at Danapur.

Coach Composition

The festive special train will comprise:

• 18 Unreserved coaches
• 2 AC 3-Tier coaches
• 2 SLR coaches (Seating-cum-Luggage)

This configuration is designed to efficiently accommodate both reserved and general passengers during the peak travel season.

The CSMT-Danapur special trains are part of 1126 Festival Special trains being operated by Central Railway across India from September to December 2025. These trains cover key destinations in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh.
