Coldplay Responds To BookMyShow Crash In India: New Mumbai Concert Date Added For January 21

In response to the overwhelming demand for the Coldplay concert tickets in India, the British rock band has decided to add an additional performance date on January 28, 2025. This decision came after a massive rush of fans attempting to secure their spots for the January 18 and 19 shows caused the BookMyShow website to crash.

Many fans, especially from Mumbai, faced difficulties accessing the ticketing platform despite their persistent efforts and staying logged onto multiple devices.

The sales for the tickets of the third show will go live today fro 2 PM. It can be booked only via the BookMyShow app. Coldplay has also teased a 'mystery guest’ for the third show.

Coldplay Concert: Another Chance To Buy Tickets

After nearly nine years, the American rock band Coldplay is making a highly anticipated return to India in January 2025 with concerts in Mumbai. Tickets for these sought-after shows went live today and sold out rapidly, leading to a crash on the BookMyShow platform. While some fans celebrated securing their tickets, many others faced disappointment at missing out.

However, there's good news for those still hoping to catch the band live. In response to overwhelming demand, Coldplay announced an additional concert date for January 21, 2025, at the DY Patil Stadium. The band shared the news on their Twitter account, stating, "Due to phenomenal demand, a third Mumbai date has been added. Tickets go on sale today at 2 PM IST on BookMyShow."

For fans who may still miss out on tickets, there’s another chance on the horizon. On September 19, Coldplay revealed that they would release a limited number of Infinity Tickets for the India tour. These tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 12 PM IST on BookMyShow.

Infinity Tickets are designed to make the "Music Of The Spheres World Tour" accessible at an affordable price, set at ₹2000 each, and must be purchased in pairs. The seating for these tickets will be a surprise, with locations disclosed only when fans pick up their tickets at the venue on the day of the concert.

Ticket prices for the concerts range from ₹2,500 to ₹12,500, with premium Lounge section tickets priced at ₹35,000. The Lounge tickets offer exclusive perks such as enhanced food and beverage options, an elevated viewing deck, dedicated entry lanes, and exclusive restrooms.
