Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti: Maharashtra Govt To Make 12 Forts 'World Heritage Sites'
On the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya extended their wishes to followers of Shivaji Maharaj. Maharashtra CM Fadnavis also addressed a public gathering on this auspicious occasion and announced that 12 forts associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be turned into World Heritage Sites soon.
During his speech, Chief Minister Fadnavis mentioned that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary is celebrated not only in India but also in 20 other countries.

He recalled how, during a time when many Indian kings aligned with the Mughal empire, Rajmata Jijabai inspired Shivaji Maharaj to liberate Marathi-speaking regions and Hindustan.
Legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
CM Fadnavis also highlighted Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's contribution in Indian history and how he united soldiers from various castes, motivating them to fight for the welfare of the people, the nation, and religion.
He recalled Shivaji Maharaj's legacy and how he defeated Mughal armies with just 5,000 soldiers.
'Jay Shivaji-Jay Bharat' Padyatra
The 'Jay Shivaji-Jay Bharat' padyatra aims to bolster the spirit of a strong and self-reliant India by drawing inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's ideals. Chief Minister Fadnavis concluded his address by emphasising this objective.
