Central Railway Announces Special Late-Night Train Services For Ganpati Festival Celebrations

Central Railway has announced special late-night suburban trains to accommodate devotees during the Ganpati Festival. These trains will operate between CSMT Mumbai and Kalyan/Thane on the Main Line, and between CSMT and Panvel on the Harbour Line. The services are scheduled for 4th/5th September, 5th/6th September, and 6th/7th September 2025.

Special Train Schedule for Main Line

On the Main Line, a train from CSMT to Kalyan will leave at 1:40 am, reaching Kalyan by 3:10 am. Another train will depart from CSMT at 3:25 am, arriving in Kalyan at 4:55 am. Additionally, a service from CSMT to Thane is set to leave at 2:30 am, reaching Thane by 3:30 am.

For those returning to CSMT, a train from Kalyan will start at 12:05 am and reach its destination by 1:30 am. From Thane, two trains will head to CSMT; one departing at 1:00 am and another at 2:00 am, arriving at their destination an hour later.

Harbour Line Special Services

The Harbour Line will see special services only on the night of 6th/7th September. A train from CSMT to Panvel will leave at 1:30 am and arrive by 2:50 am. Another service is scheduled to depart from CSMT at 2:45 am, reaching Panvel by 4:05 am.

For the return journey on the Harbour Line, a train from Panvel will start at 1:00 am and reach CSMT by 2:20 am. Another service will leave Panvel at 1:45 am and arrive in Mumbai by 3:05 am.

The Central Railway urges passengers to take advantage of these special services during the festival period. All trains will make stops at every station along their respective routes between CSMT Mumbai and Kalyan/Thane/Panvel.

This initiative aims to facilitate smooth travel for devotees participating in Ganpati celebrations. By providing these additional services, Central Railway ensures that festival-goers can commute conveniently during late hours.
