Live Baramati Election Result 2024: NCP's Political Citadel In Maharashtra
Situated in the Pune district of Maharashtra, the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency stands as a stronghold of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), boasting a legacy of 27 years under the Pawar family's leadership.
NCP President Sharad Pawar represented this constituency for five terms, while his daughter Supriya Sule has served thrice as a Member of Parliament, and his nephew Ajit Pawar held the position once.

Encompassing six Assembly seats - Indapur, Baramati, Purandar, Bhor, Khadakwasla, and Daund - the Baramati parliamentary constituency remains a significant political arena in Maharashtra. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Supriya Sule retained the seat, securing 6,86,714 votes, followed by BJP candidate Kanchan Rahul Kul with 5,30,940 votes, and Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi's Padalkar Navnath with 44,134 votes.
Similarly, in 2014, despite the Modi wave sweeping the nation, Supriya Sule emerged victorious with 5,21,562 votes, maintaining the Pawar family's enduring influence. Mahadev Jankar of the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha secured the second position with 4,51,843 votes, while AAP's Suresh Khopade came third with 26,396 votes.
