Baba Siddique Shooter’s Age Confirmed As Adult By Bone Test

In a shocking incident that has gripped Mumbai, veteran NCP leader Baba Siddique, aged 66, was mercilessly shot dead by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in the Bandra area's Kher Nagar on Saturday night. This brutal act has led to the arrest of three individuals involved, shedding light on a well-orchestrated plot tinged with criminal affiliations. Among the arrested, Gurmel Baljit Singh, a 23-year-old from Haryana, has been captured while one of his accomplices, Shiv Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, remains at large, evading police capture.

Dharmaraj Kashyap, another accomplice in this heinous crime, faced a bone ossification test which confirmed he is not a minor, contrary to his lawyer's claims. Originating from Uttar Pradesh, Kashyap's attempt to evade adult prosecution through a claim of minority was thus thwarted by forensic science.

The individuals involved in this crime purportedly work for the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail. Bishnoi's involvement in criminal activities extends to a previous shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Mumbai residence. Khan, known for his close association with Siddique, had been targeted in the past, indicating a pattern of violence associated with Bishnoi's gang. The police have disclosed that Siddique had been under surveillance for months, with the assassins conducting thorough reconnaissance of his home and office, ultimately carrying out the murder for a sum of Rs 50,000 each, paid in advance.

The crime branch of the Mumbai Police arrested Pravin Lonkar, aged 28, from Pune on Sunday evening, identifying him as a "co-conspirator" in the meticulously planned assassination. The search continues for his brother, Shubham Lonkar, who is also implicated in the scheme. The Lonkar brothers are believed to have masterminded the murder, roping in Kashyap and Kumar Gautam to execute their plan, a revelation that underscores the depth of the conspiracy.

Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, has assured the public that the third fugitive will soon be apprehended, emphasizing that no criminal gang, including the Bishnoi gang, will be spared from justice.
