Amrit Bharat Express Mumbai To Saharsa: PM Modi Flags Off New Train Service; Check Schedule And Route Inside
The third Amrit Bharat Express will be launched by Indian Railways on April 24, marking a significant step in improving long-distance rail connectivity between eastern India and Mumbai. This new service will connect Saharsa in Bihar to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Mumbai, providing enhanced travel options for passengers from the eastern region.
This train launch is part of the Amrit Bharat Express series, with this being the third addition to the fleet. It is the second train in the series to serve Bihar, and the first to benefit the state of Maharashtra. The service is designed to improve the travel experience for passengers by providing a more efficient and faster mode of transportation.

Flagged Off By PM Modi
The train was officially launched today and was flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Madhubani, Bihar. The virtual flag-off ceremony marked a significant milestone in Indian Railways' ongoing efforts to boost connectivity across the country.
Train Features And Technology
The Saharsa-LTT Amrit Bharat Express will be managed by the East Central Railway and maintained by the Samastipur Division. One of the key features of this train is its use of push-pull technology. This system places engines at both ends of the train, helping eliminate delays caused by direction reversals. It not only improves the speed of the train but also enhances overall efficiency by reducing turnaround times.
The train is capable of reaching speeds of up to 130 kilometres per hour, making it a fast and efficient option for travellers between Bihar and Mumbai.
Train Schedule And Route
The Amrit Bharat Express will operate once a week. It will depart from Saharsa at 5:00 am and is scheduled to reach Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 3:00 pm the following day. This means the train will cover the distance in a 10-hour journey.
The train will pass through several important railway junctions along the route, including Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra, Danapur, Mughalsarai, Prayagraj Cheoki, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhusaval, Manmad, and Kalyan. In total, the train will stop at 19 stations along the way, providing convenient access for passengers in different regions.
Benefits For Passengers
The introduction of the Saharsa-LTT Amrit Bharat Express is expected to benefit many passengers, particularly those from Bihar, who will now have a direct and faster link to Mumbai. The train is designed to cater to the needs of long-distance travellers, offering a more comfortable and efficient way to travel between eastern India and Maharashtra.
With its enhanced connectivity, this service is set to make a significant impact on travel between these two major regions, offering better options for both business and leisure travellers.
