Amitabh Bachchan participates in 'Swacch Bharat' campaign

' campaign has taken the country by storm and Bollywood too seems to be bitten by the 'Swachh Bharat' bug.

On Wednesday, actor Amitabh Bachchan picked up the broom and was seen sweeping the streets of Mumbai as part of the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign. Just hours before the actor was going to shoot for KBC, Bachchan tweeted:

T 1659 - And before the finale .. it was Swach Bharat Abhiyaan .. went on the streets and broomed and collected dirt to clean up the place

Narendra Modi had launched the 'Swachh Bharat' campaign on Oct 2 and had nominated celebs like Sachin Tendulkar, Shashi Tharoor, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan. Bachchan was nominated by Anil Ambani, who had participated in the campaign earlier this month.

Boxer Mary Kom and actor Hrithik Roshan too participated in the campaign.
