The difference highlights how Eid dates can vary based on local moon sighting conditions. While astronomical calculations provide guidance, the final decision traditionally depends on physical sighting of the crescent.

Across major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, communities had gathered on March 19 evening to look for the moon, but with no confirmed sightings, authorities advised that fasting would continue for one more day.
