Trayodashi Shraddha, also known as Trayodashi Tithi Shraddha, is a significant Hindu festival. It is celebrated to honour ancestors and offer prayers to deceased family members. The eldest male family member performs the shraddha rituals. He wakes up early, takes a holy bath, and wears clean clothes like a dhoti and janeyu. A ring made of durva grass is also worn. Pinda Daan rituals involve offering pinda made of rice and flour to ancestors.

After completing the hawan or puja, Brahmins receive prasad and dakshina. Holy cows, crows, dogs, and ants are fed with prasad as they are considered links between this world and the deceased's world. Devotees also organise recitals of 'Bhagavata Purana' and 'Bhagavad Gita' with family members.
