Google Doodle Celebrates Republic of Moldova Independence Day 2024 with Cultural Highlights

Today's Google Doodle celebrates the Republic of Moldova's Independence Day. On this day in 1991, Moldova declared its independence from the Soviet Union. This marked the end of over five decades of Soviet rule. Since then, Moldova has made great strides in developing its economy and culture.

The country is known for its beautiful scenery, including the rolling hills of the Carpathian Mountains and the stunning Black Sea coast. Moldova is home to a diverse population and a rich cultural heritage. The national flag of Moldova, depicted in today’s Doodle, decorates homes and buildings throughout the country today.
