Emeh was known for her powerful voice and ability to sing in many languages. Her music often focused on love and relationships, connecting deeply with audiences. She toured worldwide and performed in many countries. Emeh was also a philanthropist, supporting charities for children and the elderly.

She passed away in 2007 at 84 but remains a key figure in Nigerian music history. Her songs continue to be loved globally. In her honour, Google created a doodle showing Emeh against a colourful background, linking to a video of her performing "Onyeka."

Emeh's journey inspires aspiring musicians, proving that hard work can make dreams come true. On this day in 2009, her first album, Loud and Proud, was released. Born in Notting Hill, West London, Emeh defied early expectations that she would never walk or talk.

By age four, she overcame these challenges. Inspired by her musical family, she pursued music as a career. Discovered at an open mic night in 1999, she joined Heart n Soul, an arts group promoting inclusivity.

With Heart n Soul, Emeh performed across Europe and globally, including at the Glastonbury Festival and Heart n Soul Unplugged in Asia. Her songs often reflected personal experiences, as seen in Loud and Proud.

The album title shows her pride in celebrating disabilities. She called it "eclectic and soulful." After its release, she performed at the 2012 London Paralympics opening ceremony.

Her next project was a three-part EP trilogy titled See Me. The parts—The Clan, My Baboo, and Meds—explored relationships and mental health. Listen to Lizzie, an album with reggae influences about love and empowerment, was released posthumously in 2023.

Emeh won several national awards for her music contributions. Her albums reflect her heartfelt writing style. She is also remembered for advocating for people with learning disabilities and inspiring more disabled individuals to join the music industry.
