Chicken Alfredo Pasta Recipe: A Simple Dish For Family Dinners
Chicken Alfredo is a versatile dish that pairs well with any pasta or noodles. It can be adapted with different sauces, making it perfect for family dinners. Serve it with garlic bread for a complete meal. This recipe uses fettuccini pasta and a creamy sauce to create a delicious and satisfying dish.
- 1 pound (450 g) boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup cream or half and half
- 2 tablespoons white flour
- ¼ cup chopped onion or shallot
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- ¼ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- ½ teaspoon red pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- ½ cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cups fettuccini pasta

Procedure
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame.
- Sauté chicken breasts and shallots in hot oil for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Add lemon juice and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove chicken from flame, reserve juices, and transfer chicken to a casserole dish.
- Melt butter in a clean frying pan. Add flour and stir for about 3 minutes.
- Slowly add half and half, stirring continuously. Add all spices and seasonings to the sauce.
- Stir in reserved juices and keep stirring. Reduce heat and slowly stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Continue stirring until smooth. Pour sauce over chicken in the casserole dish.
- Cover and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
- While chicken is cooking, prepare pasta. Serve immediately when chicken is done.
