West Bengal polls 2016: Left announces 2nd list of 84 candidates
Kolkata, March 10: The Left Front on Thursday (March 10) afternoon announced its second list of candidates for the seven-phase West Bengal Assembly elections starting April 4.

The list comprises 84 candidates out of who 52 are new, Left Front chairman Biman Bose said while announcing the list. He also announced that four candidates of the RJD and JD(U).
The Left announced its first list of candidates on Monday (March 7).
The Congress, however, was not impressed with the Left's announcing six candidates in Murshidabad district (13 in total), a stronghold of the former. State Congress chief Adhir Chowdhury said whatever the decision the Left has taken is their own but they couldn't impose a decision on the Congress.
He said if required, Murshidabad district will see a triangular fight between the Congress, Left and Trinamool Congress.
The Congress has so far announced names of 75 constituencies from where they will contest the upcoming polls.
