WBBSE Madhyamik 2026 Exam Dates Revealed: Key Details And Subject Timetable

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced the exam schedule for the Madhyamik Class 10th exams in 2026. Students can view and download the timetable from the official WBBSE website, wbbse.org. The exams will be held from February 2 to February 12, 2026. Each exam will take place on a separate day, with the timings set from 10:45 am to 2:00 pm, along with an additional 15 minutes for reading the question paper.

The board has noted that the exam schedule is subject to change, and any modifications will be communicated to students in advance.

The subject-wise schedule is as follows:

February 2, 2026: First Languages

February 3, 2026: Second Languages

February 6, 2026: History

February 7, 2026: Geography

February 9, 2026: Mathematics

February 10, 2026: Physical Science

February 11, 2026: Life Science

February 12, 2026: Optional Elective Subjects

The dates for the Physical Education and Social Service exams will be announced later.

Regarding the language exams, the First Language paper includes languages such as Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Modern Tibetan, Nepali, Odia, Gurumukhi (Punjabi), Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Santali. If a student chooses a language other than English as their First Language, English will be the Second Language. If English is chosen as the First Language, Bengali or Nepali will be the Second Language.

For practical exams:

The Computer Application exam will last for 2 hours and 45 minutes, focusing on the theoretical component, while the practical exam will be conducted by individual schools.

The Vocational Subjects exam will last 1 hour and 45 minutes, also focusing on the theoretical aspect, with practical exams managed by either the Sector Skill Council or individual schools.
