from Ghatal constituency in West Midnapore district said in an interview that the high level of media focus on his constituency is making him feel like being raped.

Talking to Bengali tabloid Ebela, the actor-turned-politician said: "Eighty to ninety per cent of the media is now focussing on Ghatal. The news that Dev is contesting from Ghatal has become a hot topic. It is nice that a place like Ghatal has also become popular."

Dev made the remark when asked about the media's focus on his candidature

Is he enjoying the moment? To this, Dev said he is feeling as if he is being raped. "You either enjoy or you shout," the interview quoted him as saying.

Dev, who will take on CPI's Santosh Rana and Congress's Manas Bhuiyan from Ghatal on May 12, said he took the offer of party chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for he wants to motivate the youth to join politics. "Yoday's youth have no failth on politics and 40 per cent of them don't vote. They say nothing is changing but it is happening because we are not involving ourselves. Everybody should cast his vote," the report quoted him as saying.
