Police should take Mamata's help in Saradha case: Kunal Ghosh

, Nov 24: Terming his arrest in the Saradha chitfund scam as a "conspiracy", suspended Trinamool Congress MP

on Sunday said, the police should take the help of West Bengal Chief Minister

and her two party leaders to find the truth behind the case.

Besides Banerjee, Ghosh named 11 other people including Trinamool general secretary Mukul Roy, Sports Minister Madan Mitra and party MP Suvendu Adhikary for taking their help.

"Help should be sought in the probe from those who knew Sen and received direct or indirect help from the Saradha Group, or know things in some other way," Ghosh said in a Facebook post adding that he is not making any allegations against anyone.

Describing himself as a victim of a "deep conspiracy", the journalist-turned-MP said he was arrested in an unjust manner.

"I am a media employee. I was not involved in chit fund. I was cooperating with the investigation. Whenever they called me, I went. But police will not take my help. The case is being set up to protect several people," Ghosh said. He also demanded that the chitfund scam probe should be handed over to the CBI immediately. Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien said "Law will take its own course."
