Kolkata Metro Services Disrupted After Man Jumps In Front Of A Train
A man jumped in front of a moving train at Sovabazar station on Sunday, causing partial disruption to Kolkata Metro services. This incident affected the Dakshineswar-New Garia corridor, according to an official statement.
The event occurred around 4:10 pm, leading the train's motorman to apply brakes swiftly. The power supply to the third rail was also cut off as a precautionary measure.

Due to the incident, metro services were temporarily altered. Trains operated only between Central-New Garia and Dumdum-Dakshineswar until 4:45 pm, as reported by the official.
Efforts were made to restore normal operations promptly. The quick response ensured that services resumed with minimal delay.
