‘Free Bird’, ‘No Pension Or Salary Withdrawn’: Mamata Banerjee Vows To Strengthen INDIA Alliance After Losing

In a strongly worded and emotional address after the West Bengal election results, Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee raised serious allegations about the conduct of the polls. She claimed the election process was compromised and described it as one of the worst she has witnessed.

"I have never seen this type of election in my life. Dirty politics has been played," she said, questioning the fairness of the entire process.

Questions Over Voter Lists and Counting

Banerjee raised concerns about changes in voter data and lack of transparency. She alleged that large numbers of names were added and removed without proper clarity.
"Do you know that lakhs of names were included? And then lakhs more were added together... nobody knows how this happened," she claimed.

She also criticised early counting trends being shown in the media, saying it influenced the situation on the ground.

"You all made a mistake. Without waiting for full counting, you started saying BJP is getting 200 seats. After that, they went inside and started beating our counting agents," she alleged.

Reaches Out to INDIA Alliance Leaders

Banerjee said she has already spoken to several leaders of the opposition INDIA alliance, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Uddhav Thackeray, Tejashwi Yadav, Hemant Soren, and Akhilesh Yadav.

She said leaders have expressed support, and she plans to strengthen the alliance.
"I will strengthen the INDIA alliance like a small worker. Now I am a free bird," she said, adding that she has dedicated her life to public service.

"I Never Took Salary or Pension": Mamata Banerjee

In her address, Mamata Banerjee also highlighted her personal record in public life, saying she has never taken financial benefits from her position.

"I have given my full life to the people. In these 15 years, I have not withdrawn a single rupee of pension, and I am not taking even one rupee as salary," she said.

She added that she now considers herself free from official responsibilities.

"Now I am a free bird," Banerjee remarked, suggesting she would continue her political journey without holding any formal position.

Allegations of Violence and Threats

The TMC chief made serious allegations of violence and intimidation against her party workers.

"From north Bengal to south Bengal, BJP along with goons started atrocities," she claimed.
She also alleged threats against women and vulnerable communities.

"They are threatening women... even SC and ST families are not spared," she said.
Banerjee further claimed that security forces failed to act.

"Police is totally inactive... CRPF is doing nothing," she alleged.

Claims of Obstruction and One-Sided Action

Banerjee said she tried to visit affected areas but was stopped.
"When I tried to go, they stopped my car... I was not allowed to enter. It is all one-sided," she said.

She also questioned the overall conduct of the election authorities.

Strong Criticism of Election Commission

Banerjee launched a direct attack on the Election Commission of India, accusing it of bias.
"Our fight was not with BJP, our fight was with the Election Commission... but it is biased," she said.

She even claimed that there were attempts to influence the counting process, though she admitted such information was not fully confirmed.

"This is a black chapter in Bengal's history," she added.

In one of her strongest remarks, Banerjee rejected the election outcome.
"We did not lose... votes were captured," she alleged.
She questioned whether democracy was functioning properly.
"What do you want? One-party rule? No opposition?" she asked.

Despite her allegations, Banerjee called for a peaceful response and urged her supporters to stay united.

"You cannot fight democratically if this continues... but we will fight," she said.
She also sent a message to her supporters to remain calm and continue the struggle peacefully.
