Sakshi+1: Bengal BJP leader wants Hindu women to have 5 kids to save religion!
Birbhum (West Bengal), Jan 13: Even before the controversy surrounding Sakshi Maharaj's women should have four children died, another BJP leader from Bengal came up with a similar remark, stoking yet another fire.
Shyamal Goswami, the saffron party vice-president in Birbhum district said Hindu women should have five children, one more than what Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj had said.

Goswami said five children are required for the Hindus to maintain a balance in India in times to come. He said at a public meeting that five children was must to protect Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma.
Earlier on Tuesday, the BJP sent a showcause notice to Sakshi Maharaj for his remark in which he also asked parents to donate one child to the religious leaders and one to the army. The MP, though, denied that there was any such notice while the Congress said the entire episode was an eyewash by the BJP. [BJP showcauses Sakshi Maharaj]
Sakshi Maharaj, who made the remark last week, said a day later: "Raat gayi, baat gayi" (it's all said and done)
