Malayalam Actor Harish Pengan Passes Away At 49
Malayalam actor Harish Pengan, who was receiving treatment for liver disease, passed away at a private hospital on Tuesday. He was aged 49.
The actor was undergoing treatment at Ernakulam's Amrita Hospital. He was recently hospitalised after he had complained of abdominal pain.

The doctors had suggested a liver transplant and his twin sister had come forward to be the donor. However, it required Rs 30 lakh for it following which his friends started raising funds.
Actor Unni Mukundan had appealed people to extend financial help to his family. On his social media page, he wrote, "Harish ettan is not well. Kindly pool in whatever is possible. I have done my bit. He has been extremely professional and humane with me during the shoot of meppadiyaan and shefeekinte sandhosham." The actor had also shared contact details.
Unfortunately, Pengan's condition deteriorated and he passed away at 3.25 pm today, the IANS reported.
His family have reportedly informed that the last rites will be performed on Wednesday.
The Malayalam actor has worked in movies such as 'Maheshinte Prathikaaram', 'Shefeekkinte Santhosham', 'Honey Bee 2.5', 'Vellaripattanam', 'Jaane Mann', 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey', 'Priyan Ottathilanu', 'Jo and Jo', and 'Minnal Murali'.
