Kerala girl to contest in Miss World Deaf and Dumb pageant

, July 11: It is said that talent has no boundaries and the 22-year-old girl from Kochi has proved it right.

Sophia M Joe, the young girl who has transformed her disability of being deaf and dumb, into her strength is all set to take participation in the World Deaf and Dumb beauty pageant.

According to India Today report, Sophia is going to be a lone representative in the World Deaf and Dumb beauty pageant, that is scheduled to be held in Prague, Czech Republic on July 17.

In Delhi, she was the runner-up in the same contest, but as the winner refused to contest in the global contest, the golden opportunity knocked Sophia's door.

Sophia is said to be a second year B.A. English Hons. student and her mother is also a school teacher.

Despite being born as a deaf and dumb, Sophia with a height of 5 feet 8 inches, is a multi-talented girl who has brought laurels in the field of athletics, painting, modelling and fashion designing.

She has defeated all the odds and is a proud winner of a Super Model reality show on Amrita Television.

The beautiful Sophia also walked the ramp during Kochi Fashion Week in 2013.
