Witness: Militants executed non Muslims for watching WC game

, June 17: On Sunday alleged militants struck a hotel in

and attacked 'non- Muslims' who were watching a game of the FIFA World Cup.

One of the survivors of the attack spoke to The Daily Beast and said that the militants were killing 'non-Muslims' execution style.

The Kenyan government said that al-Shabab could be behind the attacks. This is the same Islamist terror group that had killed more that 60 people during an attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi last year.

One of the witnesses said that the militants asked the people whether they were Islamic or not before they gunned down people. They asked the non Muslims to lie down and then shot them.

The alleged terror group had carried out a similar attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, where the militants shot many non Muslims.

FIFA World Cup has been marred by many controversies from Day 1 as many protestors took to the streets.
