Directed by Dheeraj Saran, the movie, which focuses on the Godhra riots, was released in cinemas on November 15.

Massey met with Adityanath at his official residence on Tuesday. The chief minister shared a photo of their meeting on his official X account, which Massey later reposted. Massey expressed gratitude, stating, "Got an opportunity to meet honorable CM Yogi Adityanath whose appreciation inspired the entire team of The Sabarmati Report. I heartily thank him for this love and affection."
Special Screening Details
The screening is scheduled for 11:30 am at Audi 7 in Lucknow's Palassio Mall. While it remains uncertain who will accompany the chief minister, it is possible that some BJP leaders and ministers might join him. Over recent years, special screenings have been organised at Yogi Adityanath's Lok Bhavan office for films like "The Kerala Files" and Kangana Ranaut's "Tejas," though he seldom visits theatres.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised "The Sabarmati Report," noting that it is commendable to see the truth being highlighted. This endorsement adds significant attention to the film, which delves into sensitive historical events.
The anticipation around this screening is notable as it marks a rare occasion where the chief minister attends a public cinema event. The presence of political figures at such screenings often draws public interest and media coverage.
The film's exploration of the Godhra riots presents a narrative that resonates with many viewers, sparking discussions across various platforms. As audiences engage with its themes, the film continues to garner attention both for its content and the personalities involved in its promotion.
This event underscores the intersection of politics and cinema in India, where films often serve as a medium for broader societal conversations. The involvement of prominent leaders further amplifies these discussions, highlighting the cultural significance of cinema in reflecting and shaping public discourse.
