Yogi Adityanath Issues Warning Against Halal-Certified Products In Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has cautioned people against purchasing 'halal-certified' products. He stated that the state has prohibited these items, alleging that profits from their sale are used to support "terrorism, forced conversion, and love jihad." This warning was issued during his speech at events in Gorakhpur celebrating the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Adityanath emphasised the importance of avoiding products with halal certification. He claimed that many everyday items like soaps and clothes now bear this certification. According to him, ₹25,000 crore is generated through halal certification without any official recognition, and this money is misused for harmful activities in India.

Halal Certification Concerns

The Chief Minister asserted that no one would dare sell halal-certified products in Uttar Pradesh. He highlighted how various goods, including matchsticks and clothes, have come under this certification. He expressed concern over the misuse of funds generated from these products for terrorism and other activities.

During the same event, Adityanath praised the RSS for its significant contribution to constructing the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. He commended the organisation's perseverance over 100 years despite facing numerous challenges. He noted that while some political parties questioned the temple's construction, RSS volunteers remained resolute.

Historical Struggles Against Political Islam

Adityanath also touched upon historical struggles against "political Islam," which he described as a major threat to Sanatan Dharma. He mentioned warriors like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap who fought against these ideological challenges. Despite their efforts, he lamented that this aspect of history is often overlooked.

The Chief Minister pointed out that while there is much discussion about resistance to colonial powers like the British and French, there is little focus on political Islam's impact on faith. He stressed that heroes like Veer Shivaji stand as testaments to these struggles.

In his address, Adityanath reiterated his stance on halal certification and its implications. His remarks reflect ongoing concerns about religious and ideological influences in India. The Chief Minister's statements have sparked discussions about economic practices and their broader societal impacts.
